怀念梁钊韬先生

In Memory of Mr.Liang Zhaotao

梁钊韬先生是中国人类学界的先驱,在"文化大革命"结束以后白手起家,历尽艰辛重建了中山大学人类学系,涵盖考古学、民族学、语言学和体质人类学四个分支学科。梁先生主张建立中国自己的人类学,坚持学术研究要为社会服务,为现实服务,为人民服务。自1980年人类学恢复以来,梁先生一直站在教学研究的第一线,其于学术上的严格要求,生活上的无私关爱无不让诸弟子受益终身,为中国社会科学界培养了一大批骨干力量。梁先生筚路蓝缕,以启山林,他在世的时候人类学的土地上还只是杂草,而在他离开的时候却留给人们整个花园。

A pioneer in China＇s anthropology,Mr.Liang Zhaotao started from scratch after the ＂ Cultural Revolution＂,went through all kinds of hardships and finally reconstructed the Department of Anthropology at Sun Yat-sen University which covered the four branch disciplines of archaeology,anthropology,linguistics and physical anthropology.As advocated by Mr.Liang,Chinashould establish the anthropology featured characteristics of its own and academic research should benefit the society,the reality and the people.Since anthropology study was restarted in Chinain 1980,Mr.Liang had been devoting himself to teaching and researching,whose strict requirements in academic training and selfless care to their lives brought his disciples lifelong benefit and educated a large number of backbone scholars for social science in China.As an explorer and pioneer in his time,Mr.Liang made great contributions to the descipline of anthropology in China,where there were only weeds growing on the land at the time he started but a whole garden with blooming flowers was created for us when he left the world.
