中国传统哲学讲究"天人合一",就是我国传统文化中的人与自然的关系呈现出的和谐精神。"人法地,地法天,天法道,道法自然。"以师法自然"不假外求"、"反求诸己"的自我超越,来达到精神的自由境界。中国古典园林艺术是中国古人实现内在超越的场所,中国古典园林以山水为中心,内容与形式相统一,有"虽由人作,宛自天开",清静无为、返朴归真、以天合天、以无为达至无不为。"文之英蕤,有秀有隐。……"。"仁者乐山,智者乐水"充分体现了中国古人的以"和谐"、"隐"、"游"、"乐"为特征的内在超越精神。

Chinese traditional philosophy stresses ＂the unity of man and nature＂ , which is the harmonious spirit of the relationship between man and nature in Chinese traditional culture. ＂Man takes his law from Earth; the Earth takes his law from Heaven; Heaven takes its law form the Tao. The law of the Tao is its being what it is＂ .To the natural law of self-transcendence, ＂do not have to obtain anything by somebody, obtain from your heart＂ , ＂if your effort all fall flat, you should examine yourself＂ ,to achieve the spiritual realm of freedom. Chinese classical garden art is the place where the Chinese ancient people realize the inherent transcendence. The Chinese classical garden is centered with the landscape and the content isunified with the form. Hence we speak of ＂although it is being artificial, equal to a natural wonder.＂ Stillness and non- action; recover simplicity and come to nature; the Taoist regards the perfect harmony of the nature as a state of ＂Supreme Beauty,＂ which form its natural value of ＂man is an integral part of nature＂ . ＂The virtuous find pleasure in hills; the wise find pleasure in water＂ fully embodies the Chinese ancient people are characterized by ＂harmony＂ , ＂hid den＂ , ＂sightseeing＂ , ＂enjoy＂ the inner spirit of transcendence.
