The paper presented some structural characteristics of spinel lithium manganate as cathode material for lithium-ion batteries; it described preparation methods and their advantages and disadvantages of spinel LiMn2O4 as cathode material,as well as the latest study of modification of spinel LiMn2O4; it also put forward the outlook on development trend of spinel LiMn2O4 based on the current status.
