浅析严复《天演论》中的术语译名

Discussion on Yan Fu's Translated Terms in Tian Yan Lun

严复译名是其翻译思想的重要体现之一,尤其表现在术语翻译上。基于严复译著《天演论》中的中西术语译名,剖析严复在术语译名生成和创制方面的取舍,反思严复术语译名的去留,为今日术语译名研究、术语规范化使用等提供历史参照。

Tian Yan Lun is the first well-known masterpiece translated by Yan Fu. The translated terms in Tian Yan Lun serve as an important embodiment of his translation thoughts,especially on terminology translation. Based on analyzing the Chinese and Westernlanguage terms in Tian Yan Lun( Yan Fu's version of Evolution and Ethics),we examine how these terms were created and selected,and hope to draw lessons from them. The whole study aims to standardize terminology by using historical reference.
