民国时期,国立北平图书馆因其职司所重,致力于文献的采购、编辑及出版事业,陆续编辑出版了各种书目、索引、珍本丛书及其他各种书籍或研究著作,并对抗战文献开展了专题编辑整理工作。国立北平图书馆编辑的这些出版物不仅为读者服务,供学者研究,更是作为中国历史文化传承的重要媒介。
