Studies on Consecutive Interpreting Practice of China-ASEAN Foreign Affairs——the Qualities of Interpreters and Pre-interpreting Preparation

广西与东盟国家陆海相连,在中国—东盟交流与合作中发挥了独特而重要的作用。本文结合笔者的外事工作实践,详细介绍了外事交替传译译员应具备的几点基本素质,分析外事任务应做好的译前准备,为中国—东盟外事翻译实践提供参考。

Guangxi is connected with ASEAN countries by both land and sea; therefore, it has played a unique role in the exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN. This paper, based upon the consecutive interpreting practice of the author for foreign affairs tasks to comprehensively elucidate the essential qualities of consecutive interpreters, and pre-interpreting preparation for foreign affairs tasks, which will provide references to China-ASEAN foreign affairs tasks.
