Sponge city development may ease the negative urban development impact on water environment, and it is an effective way of water ecology development. Sponge city planning is important in green ecological district planning in that it solves city fl ooding problems and realizes rational use of water resource. The paper studies sponge city planning strategy in Wuxiang green ecological district planning, establishes sponge city indices system, realizes recycling of water resource of the district, and provides guidance for next step detailed design.
