何晏、王弼易学“时义”观差异及其原因

Different Views on the Shi yi(Significance of Time)between He Yan and Wang Bi and the Reason

何晏、王弼是魏晋义理易学的领军人物。由于两人的贵"无"论哲学并不完全相同,所以对六十四卦"时义"形成原因的解释存在差异:王弼将事物变化动因归于自然之性,"时义"反映的是事物自身发展变化的规律,故用社会人事解易。何晏思想比较芜杂,在汉易与王弼新说之间徘徊,留下了"自言不解《易》九事"的时代困惑。

He Yan （d. 249） and Wang Bi （226-249） were two leading figures of the meanings-and-principles school of Chan- ges scholarship in the Wei （220-265） and （265-420） dynasties. In spite of the fact both of them were advocates wu 无 （lit., nonbeing）, there were some discrepancies between their arguments. On this account, their views on the cause of formation of the shi yi （significance of time） of the sixty-four hexagrams were different from each other. Wang Bi ascribed the motivation of the changes and transformations of the myriad things to the natural character of nature; and holding that what the ＂signifi- cance of time＂ reflected was the law of changes and developments of things themselves, he applied it to human affairs. Wave- ring between the Han （206 BCE-220 CE） Yi tradition and Wang Bi＇s new interpretation, He Yan＇s thought was miscellane- ous and left the perplexity of his time with ＂nine items of difficulties in interpreting the Changes.＂
