Rejection and Acceptance: Mohist Theory of Paradox and Its Resolution

墨家对悖(誖)进行了大量的论证,并表明了自己的态度。本文考察墨家关于人们行为上、思想上或言辞上的各种悖谬现象的揭示与论证,并分析墨家拒斥悖论的基本方法"推"和接纳悖论的"同异交得"法。从中可以看出墨家对待悖论的基本态度,从而能够更好地来看待墨家逻辑的基本性质,同时也可以为我们今天认识悖论、解决辩证思维的问题提供某种思路。

Mohism had a lot of proof for paradox and had expressed its opinion. This paper examines Mohist detection and argumentation about all kinds of paradoxes on people’s behaviors, thoughts or words, and analyzes Mohist basic method“inferring” rejecting paradox and the method accepting paradox which sameness and differences are interrelated. In this paper we can find Mohist opinion on paradox and better to understand the nature of Mohist logic. This paper can also provide a new way to understand paradox and solve the problem of dialectical thinking.
