摘要
今年是中国加入世界贸易组织（WTO,简称“世贸组织”）15周年。加入世贸组织,是中国改革开放进程中的一个里程碑事件。中国在过去30多年改革开放所取得的成就是巨大的,效果也是明显的,尤其是在加入世贸组织以后的15年里,经济发展成就举世瞩目。
On December 11, China marked 15 years since it became a member of the World Trade Organization(WTO). It has shown the world what being open, being part of an open economy can do in terms of development, poverty elimination and prosperity. Both the world and China have indeed greatly benefited from enhanced trading partnerships which are supported by rules and guidelines underpinning WTO's global mandate. According to the 2001 WTO accession agreement, the Surrogate Country approach expires on December 11, 2016, and China should now be regarded as a 'market economy'.
