A Review and Prospect of Researches on Cormac McCarthy

科马克·麦卡锡是当今影响力最大的西部边境小说家之一,由于其一直致力于描写美国及墨西哥中下层人民的生活经历及人生感受,从而受到广大北美读者的欢迎及评论界的赞誉。科马克·麦卡锡创作主题及手法复杂多样,国外对于麦卡锡的评论也呈现多元性,从存在主义、折射历史事件、解构西部神话等多个研究视角进行分析和评论;国内对于麦卡锡的研究尚处于起步阶段。文章对迄今国内外麦卡锡研究作细致的梳理,并进行展望。

Cormae McCarthy is one of the most influential Western frontier novelists. He gains so much attention of those readers in North America as well as appreciations of critics for his careful description of the Middle and lower class people in America and Mexico. The complexity and variety of McCarthy＇ s writings in theme and technique have presented the multiplicity of criticism of Mc-Carthy abroad, especially analysis and comments from the perspective of existentialism, history reflection, and deconstruetion of Western myth and so on. The domestic research on McCarthy is still in the initial stage. This paper attempts to provide a detailed review of studies on Cormac McCarthy abroad and at home as well as a prospect for its future.
