摘要
从认知语言学视角探讨中国英语学习者对动词ing形式的习得情况。通过采用用法判断测试和策略问卷调查相结合的方式,对50名非英语专业一年级专科生进行测试和调查,考察其对英语动词ing形式的五种主要用法的掌握情况以及判断这些用法的相应策略。结果表明:动词ing形式的五种用法中,受试习得最好的是形容词用法,其次是现在分词用法和动名词用法,习得最差的是介词用法和连词用法;判断动词ing形式的不同用法过程中,受试倾向于使用句法功能/特征策略来进行识别;对比分析受试在两个测试中的表现,发现他们在习得动词ing形式的不同用法时其显性语法知识和隐性语法知识发展总体上处于同步的。
This study explores the acquisition of V-ing forms by English learners from the perspective of cognitive linguistics. It conducts a combination of usage judgment test and strategy questionnaire among fifty vocational non-English major freshmen to examine the acquisition of its five usages and relevant strategies adopted to judge these different usages. The results show that:(1) among its five usages, the easiest one for subjects to acquire is adjective, then followed by present participle and gerund, and the poorest ones are preposition and conjunction;(2) when judging these five usages, subjects tend to employ the strategy of syntactic functions/features;(3) by comparing and analyzing their performances on these two tests, it shows that these subjects develop their implicit and explicit knowledge synchronously in the process of acquiring V-ing forms.
