This article briefly introduces the negative effect of the excess methanol impurities in cracking feedstock on the ethylene plant,and discusses in detail the methods for removing the methanol in cracking feedstock and the methanol in interstage tank of cracking gas compressor, which can effectively reduce the methanol in cracking feedstock and in propylene product to less than 100 mL / m3 and 10mL / m3 respectively,and ensure the stable operation and product quality of the downstream polypropylene plant.
