1940年代美国华侨文艺的论争及意义

摘要 美华文学在1940年代进入一个发展高峰期,美国华侨文艺界就"华侨文艺"有较多的论争。本文立足原始资料《美洲华侨日报》"新生"副刊、《华侨文阵》等对这一问题进行梳理,还原1940年代美华文艺界对"华侨文艺"的定义、文化渊源、素材提取、写作方法等各个方面的论争及观点的不断修正。1940年代美华文艺界对"华侨文艺"的论争反映了他们自觉的理论探索意识,为确立美华文学的独特内涵所做的努力。 American-Chinese literature reached its peak in the 1940s when there were quite a few debates by the world of arts and literature of Chinese citizens residing in America about ' the arts and literature by Chinese citizens'. This paper, by combing through this issue, based on the 'New Life 'supplement to China Daily News and Chinese Literary Array(huaqiao wenzhen), brings back debates about the definition of what it means to be' the arts and literature by Chinese citizens', its cultural source, the extraction of material and writing methods in the 1940s world of American-Chinese arts and literature as they reflect their awareness of theoretical exploration and their efforts in establishing a unique contents of American-Chinese literature.
