Location management technology based on mobility level for 5G

识别和跟踪UE同时减少信令开销是移动性管理研究中面临的一个重要问题。本文根据用户的移动等级,提出了基于移动等级的移动性管理方案实现对不同移动特性的UE进行有效地移动性管理。其优点是根据UE移动等级灵活地设置相应的追踪区,实现更新和寻呼开销的最优化和确保系统的稳定性。

Tracking users while reducing the signaling overhead is an important question of the location management in communication system. This paper proposes location management technology based on mobility level, which attempts to optimize the update and paging costs and realizes location management with regard to different mobility characteristic. A noted feature of the technology is that the network can flexibly configure applicable Tracking Area based on the mobility level to reduce the signaling cost for location management.
