Literature has always been a reflection of the complicated relationship between human and nature. Primitive cultures and early civilizations believed that nature played an important role in human activities. Then Chinese classical poets managed to communicate with nature through their unique philosophy, while modern romanticists can't help expressing their deep love for nature. Pitiful- ly, modern colonization and industrialization treat nature as irresponsible as it is an artificial product of human being. Facing the challenge, literature, as an echo of its time, shows its power. Human and nature are tightly connected again thanks to the great works of many pioneering masters and the following new generation of writers from Asia, Africa and Latin America. Every voice of these writers indicates a different way. And only with these voices together can human create finally a new world of co-existence and harmony.
