A look at Internet + Shipping from the perspective of electronic bill of lading

在互联网技术不断进步的背景下，电子提单应运而生。电子提单能提高整个贸易链条效率，降低相关方成本和风险，提升航运公司服务品质并促进贸易发展。本文提出中国应建立本土电子提单服务商，推广电子提单的使用，利用单证电子化带来的契机，参与甚至主导国际电子商务规则、国际航运规则的制订。

Under the background of the Internet technology continuing to advance, the electronic bill of lading arises at the historic moment. The electronic bill of lading can improve the efficiency of the whole trade chain, reduce the related cost and risk, improve the service quality of shipping company and promote the development of trade. In recent years, some owner of cargo asked the electronic bill of lading must be issued by the domestic shipowner, and only then the charter contract could be signed. It has caused some trouble in the business negotiations on the use of electronic bills of lading to Chinese shipowners. In this paper, China should establish the local electronic bill of lading, promote the use of electronic bills of lading, make use of the opportunity of the electronic documents, participate in or even dominate the rules of international electronic commerce and international shipping. It is urgent for us to study the relevant system of electronic bill of lading under the background of the wide use of electronic bills of lading in the world but the attention of the domestic theory and practice is still not high.
