Three Keys for China to Advance World Cities

[目的 /意义]建设世界性城市和国家中心城市,是我国新型城镇化建设的重要组成部分。[方法 /过程]采用国际比较和模型分析方法。根据世界现代化的历史经验,世界性城市应该是具有国际影响的创新驱动型城市。[结果 /结论 ]本文借鉴国际经验,提出建设世界性和国家中心城市的3个关键点和目标,即坚持创新驱动的发展战略,坚持科技创新和制度创新的双擎驱动,坚持创新文化和创新人才的先导作用,建成有世界影响的创新城市和创新高地。

[Purpose/significance] This paper aims to advance the world and national central cities, which is an important part of the new urbanization in China. [Method/process] The international comparison and the model analysis were adopted. According to the historical experience of the world modernization, a world city should be an innovation driving city with an international influence. [Result/conclusion] This paper puts forward three keys and a goal for China to advance the world and national central cities based on the international consideration. Three key developing strategies lie in innovation-driving, dual engines of S＆T innovation and institutional innovation and the leading role of innovative culture and talents. The goal is to construct an innovative city and plateau.
