从语料库语言学角度，运用基于数据与数据驱动相结合的方法，对表原因的同义介词短语because of，due to以及thanks to进行检索，统计分析它们在CROWN语料库不同语域中的词频分布差异，不同的搭配词特点，类联接以及语义韵特征等语言特征。通过分析它们之间存在的差异，为教师教学和学生学习提供了最直接最可靠的参考和依据，使英语语言的学习和运用更加贴近本族语者使用习惯，以期提高教师与学生的二语习得水平。

From the aspect of corpus linguistics, a group of prepositional phrases for reason- because of,due to and thanks to are searched and analyzed, combining data-based and data- driven methods, in order to figure out their differences in word frequency distribution in dif- ferent registers, characteristics of collocates, colligation and semantic prosody. These differ- ences,based on the real corpus, provide the most direct and reliable references for both teachers and students,which will hopefully promote their English study and application since they have a good command of the way native speakers communicate.
