广州大学城大学生下载数据库论文行为研究

Study on the Database Papers Downloading Behavior of College Students in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center

为减少图书馆电子资源浪费,有效避免过量下载事件的发生以及更好地为大学生提供论文下载的服务,以广州6所高校的500名大学生为样本,调查大学生下载数据库论文的行为,了解大学生下载数据库论文行为的特点以及规范性,对图书馆的用户教育以及数据库商提出一些建议。调查发现,大学生下载数据库论文行为存在以下特点:主要是依据题名判断论文内容的相关性;经常影响大学生选择下载的论文的外在描述因素是论文的学科分类、论文的被引次数、论文的来源等;大部分学生可以在3 min以内决定一篇论文下载与否,大部分大学生不了解过量下载及其后果,使用数据库规范性有待提高。

In order to reduce the waste of library＇s electric resources, effectively avoid excessive downloading events and provide better downloading services for college students,this paper chooses 500 college students of six universities in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center as samples to investigate their database papers downloading behavior, to understand the characteristics and regulations of their database papers downloading behavior and to put forward some suggestions for library＇s user education and database businessmen. The investigation finds out that the characteristics of college students＇ database papers downloading behavior are included as follows： the correlation of papers＇ contents is judged mainly according to the titles, the external description factors that often affect college students＇ choosing the downloaded papers are the subject classification, the cited frequency and the paper sources, most college students can decide to download a paper or not in three minutes, and most college students don＇t know excessive downloading and its consequences,and the normativity of using the database needs to be improved.
