汉语经典句翻译中情态表达的人际意义建构——以2015年习近平总书记演讲中经典句的翻译为例

Interpersonal Meaning Construction of the Modal Expressions in Classical Chinese Translation——Taking the Famous Translations in President Xi Jinping's Speeches in 2015

文章以习近平总书记2015年全年的国内外演讲中经典句的英译文为语料,对其中使用的情态表达方式进行统计并结合语言的例证考察,发现英译文对原文进行了一定的情态意义调整。汉语原文中绝大部分句子使用肯定和否定归一度的表达方式,而英译文中相应地改为具有情态意义的表达方式,迎合了发话者与译入语受话者之间的语言、文化、意识形态等方面的差异,有助于受话者识别发话者的身份及地位,并有效地开启了政治演讲语篇主体间的多声协商,平衡了交际双方的心理距离和社会权利关系。

Taking the translations in President Xi Jinping＇ s speeches in 2015 as data,the modal expressions are analyzed. It is discovered that some modal expressions in the English versions are adjusted. In the Chinese texts,most sentences use positive and negative ex- pressions while in the English version they are changed as modal expressions. This meet the requirement of compensate the difference between the speaker and target language listeners in terms of language,culture and ideology. er＇s identity and social status. This also It is easy for the listeners to identify the speak- effectively opens multi-negotiation between the subjects of the political speech and balance the psychological distance and social power relation between the communicators.
