Theory of “Micro Expression” Theory and Its Use in the Investigation and Interrogation

微表情是一种持续时间只有1/25秒-1/5秒的面部肌肉运动,常常表现出个体心中被压抑的真实情感。微表情具有表达情绪的真实性和不易受控制等特点,在侦查讯问的过程中可以凭借微表情观察更好的区分犯罪嫌疑人、验证前期获得的证据、把握讯问节奏、掌握犯罪嫌疑人的心理状态。在运用过程中侦查人员要确定表情基准线,捕捉微表情并进行深入的解读,再及时调整讯问策略,一举突破案件。

Micro expression is a kind of facial muscle movement lasting for only 1/25 second to1/5 second,which often shows individual＇s true feelings of depression in their hearts. Micro expression has characteristics such as authenticity of expressing emotions and not being easily controlled etc. In the process of investigation and interrogation, investigators can distinguish the criminal suspect, verify preliminary evidence, master inquiry rhythm and grasp the psychological state of the criminal suspects through micro expression. Investigators can also determine the expression baseline, capture micro expressions and interpret them to timely adjust the interrogation tactics and break through cases.
