Current Status and Advances in Thyroid Stimulating Hormone Assays

促甲状腺激素(TSH)是调控甲状腺细胞生长和甲状腺激素合成和分泌的主要因子,血清TSH是甲状腺疾病诊断治疗中的常规检测指标。TSH检测方法经过50多年不断发展,已经发展至第3代和第4代,是目前临床上普遍应用的TSH检测方法。近年来,随着医学模式从单纯医学向生物-心理-社会模式转化,由单纯治疗向预防、保健、治疗和康复一体化转换,传统检验科不能满足这种转变,同时,为顺应目前高效快节奏的工作生活方式,医院工作也由院内科室扩展到院外社区等,一种新的TSH检测方式应运而生,即床旁检验TSH快速检测法。

Thyroid stimulating hormone （TSH） is the major factor regulating thyroid cell growth and thyroid hormone synthesis and secretion, and serum TSH is a regular measurement in the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid diseases. In the past 50 years of continuous development, TSH detection technology has developed to the third and fourth generation, which are generally used in the clinical practice. In recent years, along with the medical model transformation from a pure medical mode to the bio-medical-psychologlcal-social model, as well as the conversion from simple treatment to integration of prevention, health care, treatment and rehabilitation, the traditional laboratory medicine can no longer meet this change. At the same time, to conform to the current fast and efficient paced lifestyle, the hospital has also been expanding from the hospital departments to communities outside the hospital, and a new TSH testing method has emerged, which is called point of care test （POCT） TSH rapid assay.
