Pragmatic Translation from Text Typology of Functional Translation Theory

概述了功能翻译理论的核心理论之一,即文本类型理论以及应用翻译的功能特点,结合应用翻译的具体实例,分别从信息型、表达型、诱导型和视听型四类文本分析了文本类型理论对应用翻译实践的指导作用和启示。翻译的方法由原文的主要功能决定,又因文本类型的不同而各异。

The text typology,one of the cores of the functional translation theories,and the functional characteristics of pragmatic translation were generally illustrated in the paper. Then,with some specific examples,analysis about guidance and enlightenment of text typology to the practice of pragmatic translation,were carried out based on four types of pragmatic texts such as informative type,expressive type,operative type and audio-visual type. Translation methods,determined by the major functions of the source text,should vary corresponding to different text types.
