Taiwan's Attitude and Action on the Diaoyu Islands Issue

1969年5月埃默里报告公布之后,钓鱼岛及其附属岛屿的主权之争逐渐激化。日本窃占钓岛的行动引起了台湾各界的广泛关注,激起了台湾各界捍卫主权的浪潮。从70年代开始,台湾当局便采取多种形式,努力维护钓鱼岛主权及领土完整,民众也纷纷展开保卫钓鱼岛及其附属岛屿的运动,对抵制日本侵钓野心,维护领土完整产生了积极的影响。

After the publication of The Amory Report in May 1969,the Sino-Japanese territorial sovereignty dispute over The Diaoyu Island and its affiliated islands has gradually come to light. The illegal occupation of Diaoyu Islands by the Japanese government has attracted extensive attention in Taiwan,and thus caused a wave of upholding sovereignty from all walks of life in Taiwan. Since the 1970 s,the Taiwan authorities have made various efforts to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Diaoyu Islands,and people in Taiwan have also carried out a series of relevant activities,which have exerted some positive influence on resisting the Japanese aggression ambition and on maintaining the territorial integrity
