摘要
冯平山热心职业教育的原因主要是受传统教育影响、家庭教育影响、期望国家民族振兴、对家乡怀有深厚感情、受西方教育思想的影响、从个人的生活际遇感悟到职业教育的重要性。其举办职业教育的主要特点是注重提高学生的谋生能力、注重培养学生的爱国精神、注重面向社会大众。
Fung Ping Shan＇s enthusiasm for vocational education mainly results from the influence of Chinese traditional education and his family＇s nurturing, expectation for national rejuvenation and a deep love for his hometown. The impact of western education and personal experience also inspire him to appreciate the importance of vocational education. He advocates improving students＇ ability to earn a livelihood, developing their sense of patriotism and catering to the public needs.
