摘要
留学生教育是衡量一所大学国际化程度的重要指标,而如何提高留学生全英文课程的教学质量也成为高校教师在教学工作中的新课题。文章对土木工程专业重要的基础课程——结构力学全英文教学模式进行了探讨。首先分析了留学生的特点以及中美结构力学课程的不同,在此基础上总结出了适合结构力学全英文课程的教学理念、教学手段以及教学方法,强调应该以留学生为中心,提升教学效果。
Education of international students is a key index for the internationalization of a university. The improvement of the teaching quality in English has become a new topic among the instructors in the universities. This study shed lights on the exploration of the methodology of teaching Structural Mechanics, which is an important fundamental course in Civil Engineering, in English. The characteristics of the students and the difference between the course of Structural Mechanics provided in China and United States are firstly analyzed. The teaching strategy, teaching tools and teaching methods are then summarized. The study suggests that the focus should "be placed on the international students in order to improve the teaching quality of the course.
