“昭穆制”历史功能辨议

A Discussion of the System of Setting Scrificial Date

昭穆产生于宗庙,是庙位或神位的排列方式。昭穆制适用于宗庙、祭祀、墓葬等与去世的先祖有关的场合,极少单纯用于在世的后代子孙。昭穆制规定宗庙中太祖以下各代先祖的庙或神主分左右两行排列,先左、后右,至于先后次序则由行辈决定。

Zhao- mu came from ancestral temple of a ruling house. Zhao- mu was arrangement of temple and spirit tablet. Zhao- mu was related to patriarchal clan / sacrifice / tombs,etc. Zhao- mu was used to progenitor,and rarely used to living later generations. Zhao- mu system stipulated that the temple and the spirit tablet should be arrayed in tow line. The position in the family hierarchy stipulated the successive order.
