大学英语教育改革之我见

On the Reform of College English Education

通过对印度和中国的英语教育及其效果进行比较,阐述了我国大学英语教育改革的必要性和紧迫性,进而分析了国内大学英语教育的问题所在,建议目前的大学英语教育应该尽快向ESP转型。最后,从组织落实、教材编写、师资培训和观念转变等方面就如何转型提出了若干项具体建议。

This paper elaborates on the necessity and urgency of the reform required for college English education in China. It compares the English education system and its effects in China w ith those in India,and demonstrates how and w hy the reform is urgently needed. The w riter suggests the college English curriculum be transformed to the English for Specific Purposes（ ESP） program asap. In addition,he offers recommendations as to how this transition can be achieved including organizing and implementing the reform system, creating effective teaching materials, training ESP teachers and helping them change their perspectives on teaching.
