摘要
以邻接原则为例,分别从生成语言学的发展以及涌现论的角度探讨了普遍语法可及性研究如何与时俱进的问题。在最简方案阶段,邻接原则可及性研究的目的是检验二语学习者能否重设疑问词移位特征参数,且强岛屿与弱岛屿要区别对待;而基于涌现论的研究则显示,所谓的邻接原则知识不过是信息结构和加工因素互动的结果,完全可以通过普遍认知机制习得。
This paper discusses how UG accessibility studies can keep pace with the development of generative linguistics and the rise of emergentism. The results show that in Minimalist program, the purpose for testing L2 learners, subjacency knowledge is to examine whether they can reset wh-movement parameter and it is necessary to distinguish between strong islands and weak ones. In addition, research based on emergentism suggests that subjacency is derived from the interaction of non-grammar factors such as infor-mation structure and language processing, and thus can be acquired through general learning mechanism.
