摘要 本文在综合参考各种RPR(弹性分组环)网络带宽管理标准提案的基础上 ,研究了RPR网络的带宽管理机制并提出了实现方案 。 Resilient packet ring (RPR) is the main trend of the metropolitan area network (MAN). At present, it is still in the early research and development stage. Bandwidth management is an important subject of media access control (MAC) in RPR networks. In this paper, based on studying a series of proposed standard drafts of bandwidth management, we present a new bandwidth management mechanism of RPR. By using bandwidth allocation and access rate control, the new mechanism can achieve maximum bandwidth capacity of the ring and avoid head_of_line (HoL) blocking of the network.
