由于社会对临终关怀服务对象自决的关注度增高,医学伦理学和社会工作学科对尊重临终关怀服务对象自决权观点的认可度增强,临终关怀服务对象自决存在必要性、可能性,因此需要探讨并推进临终关怀服务对象自决。在此过程中,社会工作者须从清除保守观念、明确专业角色定位、实现社会认同、加强理论和实践研究等几个方面努力,以帮助临终关怀服务对象获得自决权。

Because of the enhanced social awareness,the elevated academic recognition in the field of medical ethics and social work about the necessity and possibility of the self-determination of hospice care clients need to be probed and advanced. At the same time,social workers should make much effort in removing their conservative ideas,clarifying their professional roles,realizing their social identity,and strengthening their theory and practice research so as to implement self-determination of hospice care clients,and enable them to take control of their life and determine their fate by themselves.
