Music Iconography Research Status quo and Prospects in China

音乐图像学是20世纪产生的新兴学科,它与音乐文献学、音乐考古学密切配合,成为音乐史研究的三大有力支柱,在音乐史中具有不可替代的重要地位。中国的音乐图像学研究在借鉴国外学术研究成果的基础上经过近百年的发展,已形成了完整的民族学理体系,在研究观念上具开放性,在研究课题上具广博性,在研究方法上具综合性。

As a new discpline only emerged in the 20th century and one of the three pillars in musical history research together with music phylology and music archeology, music iconography plays an indispensible role in music history. The past nearly one hundred years has witnessed music iconography research in China evolved into a theoretical system based on inclusive outlook and research domains as well as comprehensive methadology.
