Urban rapid transit(BRT) as a transportation system with medium capacity has its development space in all kinds of urban public transport.BRT development and main features are introduced.Based on the comparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of BRT and rail transit,the application scope of BRT is put forward.According to the different urban traffic demand corridos,the development direction and related suggestions of BRT are proposed.
