An Analysis on the Translation of Political Texts under the Effect of Ideology

政论文包括新闻媒体上的政论文章、领导人讲话、政府工作报告、思想评论等,其具有政治性强、用词委婉严谨、句式复杂等特点。在政论文翻译中,须以政论文的政治性因素为前提,研究中英政论文在词汇、句法以及修辞方面的异同,探讨意识形态对政论文翻译的影响。总的来说,要以"政治性"为基础,在保留原文大意的前提下,以目标语社会的主流意识形态为指导,灵活选择各种翻译方法,力求用受众熟悉的语言传达本国特有的国情以及观点。

Political texts include communents of observers in news media, leaders＇ speeches, govemment reports, ideological criticism and so on. This kind of texts have strong politicalness, use sensitive and formal words and have long and com- plicated sentences. In the translation of political texts, it＇s critical to compare features of vocabulary, syntax and rhetoric between Chinese and Westem political texts in the premise ofpoliticalness in order to discuss the influence of ideology in the translation of political texts. The principle in the translation of political texts is that translators should put politicainess as the basis, follow the main ideology of the target language society, choose transiation methods flexibly and try their best to convey concepts and contents of Chinese characteristics by using forms which are familiar to target readers.
