Springs Join Together in Xiaoqing River

很多人都知道济南有“三大名胜”——趵突泉、大明湖、千佛山，其实在老济南人眼中，济南还有第四个名胜，那便是小清河。“千佛山下趵突泉涌，大明湖畔清河人家”，山、泉、湖、河与城市交相辉映，构成了美丽济南。

In the verse by Xu Beiwen,a renowned scholar in Jinan,it said that all springs run into the sea by way of Xiaoqing River,a river originated from city cetner,which depicted the charm of Xiaoqing River.In history,Xiaoqing River had multiple functions such as flood drainage,waterlogging prevention,irrigation and shipping.It became a canal for war preparedness in 1949.As one of 'five waterway for wartime missions in China',Xiaoqing River was a name card of Jinan,in the aspect of geography.But there was a dark period for the river in the 1980s,when it badly polluted and impeded the development of Jinan.Fortunately,the People's Government of Jinan has established the coordinated development of man and nature as the foundation for building a socialist harmonious society in the light of local conditions.Xiaoqing River ushered in a new hope as the new idea of getting back to nature and cherishing nature has been forming.The eco-environment management in Xiqoing River is arduous;but there are substantial improvement of water quality after years of efforts.Comprehensive treatment for the main stream focused on improving flood control standard and reducing flood disaster.Xiaoqing River will be built into a multifunctional waterway that combines sightseeing,ecological development,leisure tourism and transportation.
