摘要
教育部纲领性文件《大学英语教学指南》的制定和诞生正是我国大学英语面临着学分大规模压缩的危机和国家双一流建设挑战的关键时期。如何化解这一危机,迎接这一挑战,本文提出了与《大学英语教学指南》稍有不同的8项教学理念,其中包括明确提出为大学生当下专业学习服务的定位目标、大学英语主要是一门工具、大学英语主要是满足国家和专业需求、提出专业学习所需要的语言要求,尤其是发展学生读写能力、大学英语教材应以信息性和学术性为主、大学英语应在教学方法上有根本性变革。
College English Teaching Guidelines, a seminal MOE document, was designed in the context when College English(CE) has faced the nationwide reduction of the credits of CE programs and has been challenged by the nation' s efforts to con-struct world top universities and disciplines. To address the crisis and meet the challenge, the article proposes 8 conceptswhich Guidelines fail to discuss. CE , for example, should serve the purpose of undergraduates' disciplinary studies, prioritizetheir reading and writing ability, and regard CE as a tool to meet the national and disciplines' requirement. The concepts alsocomprise the design of the language skills and textbooks appropriate to disciplinary studies, and the adaptation of CE methodol-ogy.
