Admiring flowers and writing about them is an important part of the literati＇s social life in the Song Dynasty （960-1279）. Many images of flowers in LIU Kc-zhuang＇s rhymed verses are not only the embodiment of his personal feelings but also the display of the current social customs. At the same time, LIU Ke-zhuang is good at using a variety of art tech- niques at various levels, from multiple angles and in many aspects to depict flower images in order to strive to give a three-di- mensional representation of their physical posture and spirit connotations. Flowery images are also the important sustenance ob- jects in LIU Ke-zhuang＇s rhymed verses; he fused his patriotic emotion and his life experience into his depiction of the inher- ent spirit of the flower, integrating his unique personality temperament with flowers into one and having unique aesthetic value.
