Professor Zong Baihua （宗白华） explored Eastern and Western philosophy in his early years. Following the approach of taking traditional Chinese philosophy as basis and Western life philosophy as supplement, he achieved the complementarity of Eastern and Western philosophy by combining the two. His aesthetic theory reveals the existence of beauty in the universe and finds a meaningful course of life for human existence. His aesthetic explorations deal with beauty around the people and explain beauty with the consciousness of life experience and love of art. His aesthetic explorations can be found in his poems.
