后现代主义“话语的平移”不适合中国

On the Incompatibility of Postmodern “Discourse Translation” in China

摘要 后现代主义话语体系的根本旨趣是对西方现代性的诊断、反思与批判。但后现代话语的种种批判,所针对的都是业已发展成熟的西方资本主义体制,是遭受过无数社会批判思潮的攻击却反而逐渐异化人类的资本主义意识形态大厦。无论是利奥塔、福柯,还是德里达,他们的后现代话语都是深深根植于西方思想、文化、哲学的土壤,是来自西方资本主义文化内部的反戈一击。诚然,后现代话语所批判的某些文化现象与我国社会的思想文化现状具有相似性,因而可以有所镜鉴;但如果不假分析地照搬、套用西方后现代主义话语,那无疑是将后现代主义的理论含义和中国特殊的社会现实简单化了。在很大程度上说,后现代主义"话语的平移"不适合中国。我们应在共时态意义上重构中国特色的现代性话语,这对西方的现代性和后现代主义话语均具有超越意义。 The fundamental purpose of postmodern discourse refers to its diagnosis, reflectionand criticism of western modernism. However, the criticism by post-modern discourse targets fully developed western capitalism, an ideological edifice which has been gradually alienating human beings despite the criticism by various social ideological trends. No matter when it comes to Lyotard, Foucault or Jacques Derrida, postmodern discourse is deeply rooted in the soil of Western ideology, culture and philosophy, which internally strikes on Western capitalist culture. Admittedly, we could learn a lesson from postmodern discourse as there is certain similarity between those cultural phenomena criticized by the discourse and the current cultural condition in our society. However, it is undoubtedly an arbitrary act of simplifying the postmodernism discourse and the characteristics of Chinese society if we indiscriminately imitate and quote western postmodernism discourse. To a great extent, postmodern'discourse translation' does not fit China. We should reconstruct modern discourse with Chinese characteristics in a synchronological style whichsurpasses western modernism and post-modernism discourse.
