Liu contended that scholars should write masterpieces full of Tao and aspiration With his meticulous attitude and vigorous scholarship, he wrote The Literary Mind and the Carving of Dragon, which explores the nature of literature and advocates the ideology of practicing Tao, being the disciple, upholding aspiration, and patronizing the poor.
