摘要
母语为苗语的学生学习英语,从本质上讲是经历了第一语(苗语)和第二语(汉语)学习之后的三语习得。在这种背景下,英语词汇的学习就更为复杂。研究认为,尽管苗、汉、英三语存在较大的差异,但它们的构词原则和构词特征具有一定的相似性,在学习词汇的过程中,如果善于总结和观察就能有效地利用词汇间的正迁移,同时规避负迁移,从而达到事半功倍的效果。
Hmong students' English study can be considered as the third language acquisition in essence after their acquiring the first language (Hmong) and the second language (Chinese). In this context, their English lexical learning is rather complicated. It is suggested in this paper that, although great divergence lies in Hmong, Chinese and English languages, the rule of the formation of the three languages share certain similarities. Given proper observation and summary, the positive transference among the three languages can be efficiently made use of while the negative transference can be avoided, which will guarantee a great achievement with little efforts.
