A Review on the Study of Classical Novels in Yuan Dynasty in Recent Thirty Years

20世纪80年代后期以来,中国国内元代文言小说研究大致可以分为三个阶段。第一阶段为80年代后期,元代文言小说资料初步得到辑印,为元代文言小说研究提供了一部分基础资料。第二阶段为上世纪90年代到本世纪初的二十年间。元代文言小说研究渐入学人研究视野,基础资料进一步被收集整理,对元代文言小说在文学史上的价值和地位有所肯定。围绕一些代表作的研究有较为全面深入地探讨,也有对代表作之外作品的探索研究。第三阶段是2010年后至今成为元代文言小说研究的一个小高潮。一批博硕学位论文的选题以元代文言小说为专门研究对象,更多的元代文言小说作品进入学人深入研究论证的范围,有将元代文言小说研究全面铺开并向纵深挖掘的趋势。但相较于其他朝代的文言小说研究来说,元代文言小说研究还处于初级阶段,很多基础问题尚未解决,元代文言小说的研究尚有广大空间,应该予以重视。

Since the late 1980s, the study of Chinese classical novels in the Yuan Dynasty can be divided into three stages. The first stage is the late 1980s, when the data of classical Chinese novels in the Yuan Dynasty obtained preliminary compilation. These works has provided some basic data for the late study. The second stage is from 1990s to the first twenty years of the 21st century. The study during this period gradually came into the sight of the scholars while the basic data were further collected and sorted and the value and status of the novels was to some extent recognized. A more comprehensive and in--depth discussion was focused on some representative works and some other novels. From 2010 to the present has begun the third stage with a small climax of the study. A group of doctoral and master＇s thesis topics have been concerned with the classical novels of the Yuan Dynasty as special research objects. More and more novels have come into the scope of scholars＂ deep research. There will be a trend in the study of the Classical novels in full swing and into in--depth investigation. But compared with the research on classical novels in other dynasties, it should be stressed that the study of the classical novels in the Yuan Dynasty is still in its infancy and there is much preliminary work to be done with much space to explore.
