Challenges and Countermeasures in the Implementation of FCM for College English Teachers in Local Universities in Western China

西部地方高校大学英语教师在实施大学英语FCM教学模式中面临如下挑战:系统认知FCM教学理论,有效应用现代信息技术,科学设计教学活动,逐步提升学生的语言学习能力等。应对挑战策略有:搭建学术交流平台,构建教师实践共同体,创新教师助学机制等。

This paper focuses on the challenges encountered in the implementation of FCM by college English teachers in local universities in western China, as well as the countermeasures EFL teachers will take. The challenges will be as follows： systematical cognition of FCM theories; effective application of information technology to FCM; scientific designing of instructional activities of FCM; steady promotion of students＇ power to learn language. The countermeasures will include： building an academic exchange platform, constructing a community of teaching practice, and innovating a mechanism for teachers to help students improve their power to learn language.
