The Completion and Operation of Chengdu-Chongqing Railway and Its Public Identity

1952年7月1日,成渝铁路建成通车,这是一条前后修筑40余年的铁路,也是新中国建成通车的第一条铁路,更是中国共产党在获得民众认同方面打的一场大胜仗。成渝铁路的建成通车,满足了四川人民对成渝铁路建成通车的夙愿,提供了大量的就业机会,使四川经济得以恢复,增加了老百姓的收入,让老百姓充分认识到新政权比旧政权"好";成渝铁路的建成通车,显示了新政权超强的建设能力,也充分显示了新制度的优越性,让老百姓认定新政权比旧政权"行",极大地提高了民众对新政权的认同度。

On July 1,1952,Chengdu-Chongqing Railway opened to traffic. This railway line,whose construction took as long as 40 years to complete,was the first railway line built and put into use in the new China,and more important,it was an overwhelming victory for the Communist Party of China to win the public acknowledgement in that,the completion and operation of Chengdu-Chongqing Railway made the long-cherished wish on the part of local people come ture,created a great many job openings,revived Sichuan＇s economy,and increased the income of ordinary people who eventually felt that the new regime exceeded the old one. The accomplishment of Chengdu-Chongqing Railway demonstrated a proof of the outstanding construction power of the new regime and the superiority of the new social system,and enhanced the mass＇ s identity with the new regime.
