美欧对待转基因农作物的态度差异及其原因兼后果分析

An Analysis of the Different US and European Attitudes toward GM Crops

自转基因技术诞生之日起就伴随着激烈的争议,针对转基因技术和产品的安全问题,各方相持不下。而这种争论的重要原因之一是美欧这两个发达国家及地区对待转基因农作物的态度相当不同。文章从地理、气候等先天因素和经济、政治、文化、技术等其他因素入手,具体分析了这两者态度差异的原因,并对比美欧农业生产的现状,最后讨论了美欧差异对中国的启示。

Transgenic technology has been high controversial since its birth. As far as the safety of transgenic technology and GM crops is concerned, views vary a lot. And one of the important reasons for this dispute is the opposite approaches taken by the United States and the Europe Union. This article analyses the reasons of their different attitudes from congenital factors including geography and climate and other factors including the economy, politics, culture and technology, compares agricultural production between the US and EU, and finally discusses how the differences between the US and Europe are relevant to China.
