Facilitating Career-long Development of College Teachers:Illuminations from Teachers' Professional Development and Training Services in Colleges & Universities in the United States

摘要 美国高校教师发展服务从有志于从事教师职业的研究生开始,延展到新教师入门、成熟教师发展,止于资深教师的经验传承,形成了一个涵盖教师职业生涯终身的完善体系。该体系面对教师不同发展阶段的特定需求提供极具针对性的服务,从而极大地提升了教师发展培训的效果,值得我国借鉴。 Teachers' professional development and training services in U.S. universities and colleges cover the whole teaching career. That means they span four career stages from teacher candidates to new teacher,junior teacher and senior teacher. This system works properly and uniquely to meet specific needs of teachers at different stages. It has been proved to be a very effective and efficient system to enhance the development of college teachers. And it also has active influences on building China's Teachers'professional development and training services system.
