我国的改革开放过程实质上是逐渐引入市场经济的过程。市场经济带来了快速发展。但近30多年来的发展是高能耗、重污染、低效益的发展,是不可持续的发展。中国必须走绿色发展的道路。绿色发展就是可持续发展。真正绿色、可持续的发展必须是超越物质财富增长的发展。根据物理学规律,物质财富的增长必定是有极限的。绿色发展和生态文明建设的关键是绿色技术创新和生态文明制度建设,根本则是思想观念的转变。关键中的关键是开发足够多的可利用的清洁能源。在生态文明制度建设中,既不可否定市场的重要作用,又不可夸大市场的作用。绿色发展和生态文明建设的根本思想障碍是科技万能论和物质主义。不改变思想观念,有了绿色技术,人们也不会积极使用,有了促进生态文明建设的制度,人们也不会自觉遵守。仅当超越了科技万能论和物质主义时,人们才会真正树立起绿色发展和生态文明理念。仅当这样的人越来越多时,才会有真正的绿色发展,才会有卓有成效的生态文明建设。

China＇s reform and opening up process is essentially the process of gradually introducing market economy which has brought the rapid development of China. But the development of recent 30 years is the development of high energy consumption, heavy pollution and low benefit, which is unsustainable development. China must take the green development path. Green development is sustainable development. Real green and sustainable development must be beyond the development of the material wealth growth. According to the laws of physics, the growth of material wealth must be limited. The key to green development and ecological civilization construction is the green technology innovation and the sys- tem construction of ecological civilization, the foundamentals of which are the transition of the thoughts and ideas. The key of the key is to develop as much clean energy as possible. In the construction of eco- logical civilization system, we can neither deny the important role of the market nor exaggerate the role of the market. The fundamental thought obstacle to green development and construction of ecological civilization is materialism and the view of omnipotent science and technology. If we don＇t change ideas, we won＇t actively use green technology when we have the technology and we won＇t consciously abide by the construction of ecological civilization system when we have the system. Only when we surpass materialism and the view of omnipotent science and technology, can we truly set up the concept of green development and ecological civilization, and further can we have real green development and construction of ecological civilization.
