ESP理论分析与医药类大学生英语教学探析

摘要 专门用途英语是建立在学生需求方面孕育而生的大学英语教学理论。医药学类英语教学在中国大学多所高校开设,相比其他专业学科,走在专门用途英语教学的前沿。以医药高校为例,阐述药学类大学英语课程现状,探析专门用途英语在医药类非综合性大学英语教学中的导入与融合。 English for Specific Purpose (ESP) is the theory constructed on the need-based university Eng- lish teaching regime. Compared with other majors, medical/pharmaceutical major related English curricu- lum, by means of ESP methodology, was set up relatively early and currently at the forefront leading phase. This article analyzes the status quo of English education on pharmaceutical major students, case study illustration, and the constructive role ESP plays in English education. The article also elaborates the integration of ESP and general English study for non-comprehensive medical and pharmaceutical university English instruction.
