With more and more countries threatened by the widespread Zika virus infection, WHO declares that Zika virus disease constitutes a public health emergency of international concern. In this paper, the epidemiological and etiological features, Zika-associated clinical symptoms and complications are reviewed in order to put forward the relevant prevention and control measures.
